Uber is currently experiencing major issues worldwide, with many riders unable to request rides. The problem seems to be due to Uber drivers unable to access their App leaving users baffled. Many customers said they can see drivers on the App but when they request a ride nothing happens.
Uber users have taken to Twitter to complain that they are getting charged for Rides that never happened.
#Uber was charged for the second ride! Your app won’t let me click on any of the past trip rides to request my money back. And there’s no customer service line because you guys suckkkkk. Give me my money back.

The major outage seems to be on a global level with the US, Australia, Canada and many countries in Europe, including the UK all experiencing the same issues. The Uber Support has responded to complaints on Twitter and have assured users that they are working on resolving the issue.
We’re sorry for the trouble. Our team is looking in this and working to resolve ASAP.

The Delivery service, Uber Eats seems to also be affected by the outage with customers reporting that they simply haven’t received their food. One user reported that he’s been waiting for over 2 hours despite the App estimating 45 mins for the delivery.
