Samsung Galaxy S8 launch: Live Press Conference
Today Samsung will officially introduce its Galaxy S8. We will be bringing you the live event here as it unfolds so stay tuned.
What we learnt about the Samsung Galaxy S8 from the Press Conference…
- The S8 will be Priced at £689 and £779 for the S8 Plus.
- Will go on Sale on April 28th.
- the screen sizes will be 5.8-inch for the Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch for theP lus respectively. both will have Samsung’s new borderless display.
- Samsung DeX will transform the Galaxy S8 into a desktop computer.
- Both feature a 12MP rear and 8MP front facing camera.
- Bixpy – The new S8 and S8 plus will now come integrated with Samsung’s new Intelligent Assistant which seeks to be more advanced then Apple’s Siri. Samsung Claims Bixpy understands what you are currently doing on your phone which gives you more accurate voice commands.
- Home button is integrated in the screen.
- The Galaxy S8 is water and dust resistant, Samsung Claims it can be used for about 30 mins underwater.
- Iris scanning, which means you can unlock your phone with you eyes only.

At the Mobile World Congress, Samsung remained very discreet focusing on the tablet market. And for good reason, since its new flagship, the Galaxy S8 will be presented this Wednesday March 29 at 4 pm UK time. In the meantime Samsung has given us this Trailer to get you excited about the Galaxy S8:
